ER308L .035 DIAMETER 2LB SPOOLER308/308L is used for welding types 304, 304L, 308, and 308L stainless steels. It is very similar to type 308, but has a carbon content held to a max of .03% to avoid carbide precipitation. This product can also be used for welding types 321 and 347 stainless steels. Used for welding steels alloyed with molybdenum. Conforms to AWS A5.9.

Features

  • Used for welding types 308, 321 and 347 stainless steels.
  • Suitable for welding on cryogenic equipment.
  • AWS A5.7.
  • Low carbon content for use in pulp, paper, refinery, dairy, and chemical equipment.
  • Most frequently used for base metals of similar composition.
  • The dual classification ensures the maximum carbon content is 0.03 Percent to increase resistance to intergranular corrosion.
  • Capable of x-ray quality welds.
  • Welds molybdenum-bearing alloys
  • Welds similar alloys containing (.03% max) carbon content
  • Lower carbon content resists intergranular corrosion
